My client is a well-established planning consultancy based in Reading, is seeking a Graduate Town Planner to join their growing team. Known for providing expert planning services across a range of sectors, the company is dedicated to delivering innovative, practical solutions to meet their clients' diverse needs. Their team works on a variety of exciting projects, from residential developments to mixed-use schemes, and they are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to contribute to their continued success.



Role Overview:

As a Graduate Town Planner, you will work alongside experienced planners, providing support on a variety of planning applications and projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in the planning process while gaining exposure to a broad range of planning disciplines.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals.
  • Conduct research and assist with site appraisals.
  • Support in the preparation of planning reports and documentation.
  • Attend site visits and client meetings when required.
  • Provide assistance in managing client relationships and maintaining clear communication.
  • Keep up to date with planning legislation and industry developments.
  • Support senior team members on various planning projects.


Required Experience:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Ideally, a membership or working towards membership with the RTPI.
  • A strong interest in the planning profession and a desire to develop your career in the field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative.
