If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Town Planner to join an established and growing planning consultancy.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality planning solutions for a wide range of projects. You will work closely with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders, providing expert advice and guiding projects through the planning process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage planning applications, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
  • Provide strategic planning advice to clients, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national planning policies.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and representations.
  • Conduct site assessments and prepare planning reports and statements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and environmental consultants.
  • Mentor and guide junior planners, offering support and advice to help develop their skills.
  • Stay up to date with current planning legislation and policy changes.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • A degree in Town Planning (or related field) and MRTPI (or working towards).
  • Significant experience in a planning consultancy or local authority.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK planning policies and procedures.
  • Proven experience managing complex planning applications and projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
