Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Town Planner or Associate Town Planner to join our Reading office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and highly respected team, where you will work on a wide variety of projects, ranging from residential and commercial developments to urban regeneration schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage planning applications, appeals, and projects from inception to completion
- Provide expert planning advice to clients across sectors, including residential, retail, commercial, and mixed-use developments
- Manage client relationships, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded
- Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and other third parties as part of the planning process
- Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and representations on development plans
- Provide strategic advice on planning policy and site promotion
- Mentor and support junior members of the team
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and building strong relationships
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
- MRTPI (Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute) or working towards accreditation
- Proven experience in a town planning role, ideally within consultancy
- Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policy, and procedures
