Job Description:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Town Planner or Associate Town Planner to join our Reading office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and highly respected team, where you will work on a wide variety of projects, ranging from residential and commercial developments to urban regeneration schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage planning applications, appeals, and projects from inception to completion
  • Provide expert planning advice to clients across sectors, including residential, retail, commercial, and mixed-use developments
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded
  • Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and other third parties as part of the planning process
  • Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and representations on development plans
  • Provide strategic advice on planning policy and site promotion
  • Mentor and support junior members of the team
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and building strong relationships

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
  • MRTPI (Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute) or working towards accreditation
  • Proven experience in a town planning role, ideally within consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policy, and procedures
