Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor to join our team. As part of our group, we offer a dynamic and inclusive work environment with endless opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Handling client matters and providing litigation support for Wills, Trusts, and Probate.
  • Assisting colleagues during bottlenecks or leave periods.
  • Managing support services and participating in business development.
  • Upholding quality standards and keeping an eye on financial control.
  • Wooing new clients and maintaining a network of contacts.
  • Attending departmental meetings and contributing to discussions.
  • Staying tech-savvy and providing litigation support for contentious trust and probate work.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years PQE in litigation with a current caseload involving contentious trusts and probate matters.
  • Proven success in winning new clients through referrals and business development.
  • Familiarity with court appearances in the County Court, Court of Protection, and the High Court.
  • Existing ACTAPS membership (or willingness to study for it) and an innovation streak.
  • Experience with applications related to the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 and the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
  • Contested probate, wills, and trusts know-how, and willingness to tackle Court of Protection matters.
Day-to-day

The role involves working beyond regular hours when needed and may require interaction with elderly, infirm, or disabled clients.
