Our client, a highly regarded full-service law firm in the Thames Valley, is expanding its Court of Protection team in Reading and is seeking a solicitor (1-3 PQE) with a passion for supporting vulnerable clients and handling complex deputyship matters.

The Role

As a Court of Protection Solicitor, you will:? Manage high-value deputyships and private trust cases, ensuring clients’ best interests are prioritised? Prepare and submit Court of Protection applications, including statutory Wills and personal injury trusts? Assist in the purchase and adaptation of properties, working with surveyors, architects and financial advisors? Oversee clients’ budgets, monitor investments and manage tax affairs? Liaise with case managers, medical experts and financial specialists to provide holistic client support? Support and mentor junior colleagues and contribute to business development efforts? Handle sensitive cases with compassion, professionalism and discretion

What We’re Looking For

? 1-3 years’ PQE in Court of Protection or Private Client work? Strong client relationship skills, with the ability to provide tailored legal advice? Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex legal issues in an accessible way? Experience managing multiple tasks, including applications, budgeting and tax supervision? Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances and meet deadlines? Experience in Clinical Negligence or catastrophic injury claims (desirable but not essential)
