Job Opportunity: 2+ PQE Employment Lawyer - Reading

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious Employment Lawyer (2+ years PQE) to join a leading law firm's Employment team in Reading. This role offers an excellent chance to work closely with partners both in Reading and across multiple offices, with the opportunity to support a variety of clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in providing employer and HR support, as well as handling employment tribunal litigation. This is a high-visibility role within the firm, with significant involvement in business development and client management, making it ideal for someone driven and eager to progress within their career.

The team in Reading serves a diverse range of well-established clients, particularly in the tech and education sectors, allowing you to work on complex and varied employment matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on a wide range of employment law issues, including both contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Handling employer advice and employment tribunal litigation, ensuring high-quality service to clients
  • Contributing to the team's growth by supporting business development efforts and client relationship management
  • Managing your own caseload while supporting senior colleagues and partners across multiple offices
  • Ensuring compliance with the firm's quality standards and professional ethics
  • Acting as a firm ambassador, promoting its positive reputation and values at all times

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a qualified solicitor with 2+ years' PQE in employment law
  • Have experience providing employer and HR support, with a strong focus on employment tribunal matters
  • Be commercially aware, with the ability to deliver pragmatic legal advice to clients
  • Possess excellent communication and client management skills
  • Show drive, ambition, and a proactive approach to developing your career and business development skills
