Senior Associate Employment Solicitor

Location: Reading, Thames Valley

An opportunity has become available to join a prestigious, top-tier commercial law firm in Reading as a Senior Associate Employment Solicitor. The firm is seeking an experienced Solicitor to enhance its dynamic employment law team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive HR support to employer clients on a daily basis
  • Guide clients through disciplinary procedures and internal investigations
  • Advise on TUPE matters in transactional work, including due diligence and outsourcing
  • Manage employment terminations, including drafting settlement agreements and addressing related tax implications
  • Represent clients in employment tribunals & courts, handling advocacy for unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal and discrimination claims
  • Conduct training seminars and workshops for employer clients

Candidate Requirements:

  • Significant experience in Employment Law, gained from a reputable firm recognised for its employment practice
  • Proven ability to manage both contentious and non-contentious employment matters for respondents and claimants
  • Strong advocacy skills with experience representing clients in tribunals and courts
  • Excellent client management abilities, with a focus on providing strategic and clear-cut advice
  • Leadership qualities, including experience in supervising junior team members and contributing to their professional development
  • Business development acumen, with a track record of nurturing client relationships and expanding the firm's reach through strategic marketing initiatives
