As a legal counsel you will work with other members of the Customer & Sales legal team as well as our financial services, marketing and IP, DP, business and regulatory legal teams.

Description

  • Providing legal support to commercial and go to market teams on the development and implementation of new product features and services;
  • Working with digital, retail and contact centre operations teams to ensure that our customers benefit from best in class friction less journeys which are compliant with applicable regulation;
  • Implementing new laws and regulation and ensuring our customer terms and conditions and other legal documents are up to date and managed appropriately;
  • Supporting our Indirect and affiliate partner channels;
  • Managing customer claims; and
  • Providing timely legal advice to transformation programme.
  • Advising on Ofcom's General Conditions and providing advice on general consumer law.

Profile

  • You are agile and innovative in the way you approach legal advice, working with the business teams to solve challenges.
  • You are proactive, practical and commercial - actively takes initiative and focuses on solutions/business outcomes and with a "can do" problem-solving attitude.
  • You are a constructive and consultative team player with good communication skills with an ability to communicate with, and influence people at all levels (internally and externally) in a clear, succinct and persuasive way.
  • Flexibility and ability to handle change and a busy environment
  • Strong planning, multi-tasking, organisational skills.
  • Qualified as a solicitor or barrister in the UK or other Commonwealth jurisdiction
  • Prior UK in house or private practice experience, ideally in a telecommunications, media or communications company or appropriate private practice team.

Job Offer

  • An estimated day rate range of £550 - £675
