Our client, a leading organisation in the legal sector, is on the lookout for a dynamic Partner to join their Development & House Building Team in Reading. This is an exceptional opportunity to be a part of an ambitious and forward-thinking firm that thrives on excellence.

About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with other Partners and team members, playing a key part in the growth and development of a specialist team dedicated to advising developers, house builders, land traders, promoters, funders, and landowners. You will engage in a diverse range of development projects, both locally and nationally, and collaborate with other teams specialising in Corporate Real Estate, Planning, Construction, and Property Litigation.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: Over 8 years of experience in property development, with a track record of managing high-value and complex transactions.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, along with experience in budget preparation and management.
  • Negotiation Skills: Expertise in drafting and negotiating various agreements, including option agreements, conditional contracts, promotion agreements, S106 agreements, and infrastructure agreements.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of secured acquisition and development finance transactions.
  • Client Relations: A knack for building and maintaining relationships with clients and referrers in the development sector, with a history of winning new work.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop growth strategies and drive business development initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with team members and external parties.
  • Organisational Skills: Detail-oriented with a methodical approach to complex problems and an ability to identify concerns and provide practical solutions.
