We’re working with a respected 5-Partner law firm based in the heart of Reading, proudly serving clients across the Thames Valley for over 30 years. Known for its friendly culture and client-first approach, the firm continues to grow — and its thriving Private Client Department is now looking for an experienced Solicitor to take on a key leadership role.
About the Role:
You’ll play a pivotal role in managing and mentoring a skilled team while handling a high-quality caseload of private client matters. You’ll work closely with families and individuals, advising on:
- Complex and straightforward Will drafting, including IPDI, Discretionary and Disabled Person Trusts
- Estate administration, including intestate estates and related tax matters (IHT, CGT, income tax)
- Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection applications
- Elderly client issues, capacity concerns and tax planning
- Trust creation and Trust administration
- Working collaboratively with accountants, IFAs and care agencies to deliver holistic solutions
What We're Looking For:
? 5+ years PQE in Private Client Law? Confident handling complex matters independently? A strong understanding of tax planning and trust law? Proven team leadership or supervisory experience? STEP membership (or working towards) is highly desirable? A warm, professional manner and client-focused attitude
