Senior Associate - Property Development Solicitor | Reading (Hybrid) | Legal 500

£65,000 - £80,000 (DOE)

A prestigious Legal 500 firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Property Development Solicitor to join its highly regarded Development & House Building team.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work on complex, high-value development transactions while enjoying autonomy in managing your own caseload.

About the Role: The team advises on strategic acquisitions, disposals, site assembly, and planning agreements, working closely with developers, banks, and financial institutions on secured lending, development finance, and joint ventures.

Recent Transactions Include:

  • £50M+ site redevelopment refinancing
  • Multi-million-pound development site acquisitions
  • Advising a leading low-carbon developer on an eco-community project
  • Securing funding for 150 plots

Your Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and negotiating option agreements, deeds, and contracts.
  • Managing development transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, plot sales, planning, and construction matters.
  • Handling secured lending & development finance while identifying risks and providing commercially sound solutions.
  • Engaging in business development and networking within the development sector.
