Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer (Locum)

We are seeking a Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer and play a crucial role in our client's Adult Social Care and Education Team. We are seeking a dedicated solicitor, barrister, or FILEX who is proficient in adult social care legislation and passionate about advocacy and community service.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handle a caseload of adult social care cases, including Care Act 2014 issues, ordinary residence disputes, deprivation of liberty, inquests, age assessments, and judicial review cases.
  • Undertake advocacy in various legal settings, ensuring effective representation and support for clients.
  • Work collaboratively within the team and with external partners to uphold and promote the Team values.
  • Contribute to the team's efforts in making the community a vibrant and successful place by providing high-quality legal services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Valid practising certificate and authorisation to practice in England as a Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FILEX).
  • Strong background in handling complex adult social care legal cases.
  • Proven ability to conduct your own advocacy.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Experience in providing comprehensive legal advice to a diverse range of stakeholders.
