Senior Employment Solicitor Vacancy - Leading Commercial Law Firm, ReadingA highly regarded and innovative Tier 1 law firm based in Reading is seeking a Senior Employment Solicitor (7+ years PQE) to join its dynamic Employment team. This firm has a strong reputation for delivering exceptional legal services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including many blue-chip organisations.The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a talented solicitor to work within a forward-thinking team that handles the full spectrum of employment law. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on contentious and non-contentious matters, including disciplinary issues, dismissals, TUPE, redundancies, and discrimination claims.
  • Managing Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal litigation.
  • Providing employment law support on corporate transactions, including due diligence, TUPE, and warranties/indemnities.
  • Delivering high-quality training seminars and workshops for employer clients.
  • Handling employment terminations, settlement agreements, and related tax implications.
  • Conducting advocacy before employment tribunals and courts.
  • Exploring opportunities to gain experience in immigration and data protection issues.

Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will:

  • Have 7+ years PQE with broad experience in all aspects of employment law.
  • Be skilled in Employment Tribunal litigation and corporate transactional support.
  • Possess strong legal analysis, drafting, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be commercially minded, confident in offering pragmatic advice, and comfortable taking a viewpoint.
  • Have experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.
  • Be proactive in business development and promoting the firm's services.
  • Be able to work independently on complex, high-profile cases with minimal supervision.
