Senior Regulatory Lawyer - Leading Law Firm

Reading

A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Senior Regulatory Lawyer to join its Tier 1-ranked Regulatory team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced regulatory specialist to play a key role in the management and delivery of complex casework for major healthcare professional regulators.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with senior colleagues and take on operational responsibility for one of the firm's largest clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operational Management - overseeing the delivery of legal services to a major UK healthcare regulator, ensuring high-quality casework is completed within agreed deadlines
  • Complex Casework - managing high-profile and sensitive fitness to practise and disciplinary proceedings
  • Client Engagement - acting as a key liaison with the client's operational management team, attending regular meetings, and handling ad hoc correspondence
  • Legal Advisory - providing advice to regulatory panels, with opportunities for advocacy in tribunals and High Court proceedings (if applicable)
  • Leadership & Development - supervising junior lawyers, contributing to training programmes, and enhancing internal processes to improve quality and efficiency
