The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mentoring within the UK education system.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide one-to-one support and small group sessions with students to enhance their learning and development.
- Work closely with teachers to identify students who require additional support and develop effective strategies to meet their needs.
- Assist students in developing organizational and study skills, focusing on long-term academic improvement.
- Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback and encouragement.
- Address any learning barriers that students face, employing a range of techniques to overcome them.
- Foster a trusting and safe environment where students feel comfortable discussing their educational and personal challenges.
- Experience in a mentoring or support role within UK schools.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students in a learning environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to students from diverse backgrounds.
- Proactive in identifying issues and developing creative solutions to support student learning.
- Empathetic and patient, with a strong commitment to enhancing student welfare.
