About the Role

Base Location: Reading

Salary: £40,600 - £61,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: 15 months Fixed Term Contract | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The SSEN-Distribution business is undergoing a significant period of change, including a large-scale transformation programme known as The Bridge Programme. The Bridge Programme aims to 'rewire' the entire end-to-end business to transform Distribution into a customer-centric, digitally-enabled, industry leader.

Reporting in to the Business Design Lead, the User Journey Designer will oversee and guide the process of creating end-to-end user journeys for roles impacted by the change programme.

In this role you will:

  • Gather a consolidated view of all users that will be impacted by the change.
  • Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and motivations of the target audience.
  • Design and build user journeys for all roles impacted by the transformation.
  • Work closely with the change and delivery teams to understand the impacts of the change on individuals.
  • Attend and input into the Integrated Design Board, including monitoring of the Design Decision Log.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to apply them to create intuitive and seamless user journeys.
  • Ability to organise and structure information in a way that is logical and easy for users to navigate.
  • Basic knowledge of Agile principles, practices/techniques (e.g. story mapping, value scoring) and the flexibility to adapt your experience to new and evolving environments.
  • Strong understanding of Business and Technical change to be able to translate it into user journeys.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively at all levels.
