We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our client in Reading. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide crucial administrative support, helping legal professionals perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread and format legal documents, contracts and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Organise and maintain legal records, monitor deadlines and assist in the preparation of case materials for hearings and trials
- Conduct research on case law and regulations, prepare reports, and support attorneys with daily administrative tasks
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, witnesses, and external legal teams, managing correspondence and scheduling appointments
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal would be preferred
- Educated to degree level or possess a CILEX qualification
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software (Tickit) is preferred but not essential.
