Workload and Resource Planner

  • Location: Aldermaston  
  • DV Security Clearence:  Essential
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 per annum, DOE
  • Hours: 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday, working a 9 day fortnight, with every other friday off.

We are seeking a dedicated Workload and Resource Planner to join our team. This role is crucial for developing, maintaining, and optimising work schedules and resource allocation to ensure smooth operations and timely project completion. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Please note that due to urgency of the placement and the sensitively of the work environment we are only processing applicants who hold full DV security clearance. Please do not apply if you are not DV security cleared.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and maintain detailed work schedules.
  • Coordinate with departments to gather workload and resource data.
  • Monitor project timelines and adjust plans as needed.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays.
  • Communicate schedule updates to stakeholders.
  • Analyse workflow processes for efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure optimal use of personnel and resources.
  • Track progress and report on key performance indicators.
  • Support project managers with planning and logistics.
  • Maintain accurate records of schedules and changes.
  • Liaise with Customer Service Admin on a daily basis.
  • Manage Logistics Operatives and oversee the workflow of the warehouse on the client site.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in work planning or scheduling.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft tools.
  • Previous supervisory experience with proven ability to motivate a team to perform to a service level agreement and/or key performance indicators.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, adaptable, and flexible.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Experience in logistics, operations, or project coordination.
  • DV security clearance is required.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and will be required to provide proof of 10 years’ UK residency.
