Are you a skilled Site Manager with a proven track record of managing large-scale residential construction projects? A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking experienced Site Managers to join their team, working on an exciting new build residential development in Reading.
Role Overview:
As a Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. This large-scale residential scheme will require strong leadership, effective communication, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site activities, overseeing sub-contractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
- Enforce health and safety policies, conducting regular checks and audits to ensure full compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and site logistics, ensuring smooth workflow and project progression.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure clear communication and efficient decision-making.
- Ensure that all work is completed to specification, within budget, and meets the required quality standards.
- Conduct regular site meetings, progress reports, and inspections to monitor and drive performance.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Site Manager on large-scale residential schemes, ideally with a Tier 1 or similar main contractor.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and health & safety legislation.
- Leadership ability to motivate and manage on-site teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS) and experience in managing similar large residential developments.
