We are seeking a Marketing Assistant to support our client's Marketing Manager and a dynamic sales team in promoting our world-class products to a global audience. With over 95% of their revenues generated from international markets, this role is pivotal in ensuring their network of international distributors are equipped with the necessary marketing materials to effectively engage with a diverse customer base. This position is ideal for someone with a keen interest in Earth Science and a passion for marketing within a scientific or academic setting.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Create and publish engaging content on the company’s website and social media platforms.
  • Liaise with global distributors to support their marketing needs.
  • Manage the marketing database and oversee email distributions.
  • Draft and prepare marketing materials such as datasheets, newsletters, and posters.
  • Coordinate materials and logistics for conferences, including booking exhibition stands and promoting attendance.
  • Monitor competitor activities and maintain awareness of market trends.
  • Liaise with printers and other suppliers to ensure timely production of marketing materials.
  • Prepare detailed marketing campaign reports to track effectiveness and ROI.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and ideally Photoshop.
  • Ability to commute independently to the office.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with social media campaign execution and online content preparation.
  • High attention to detail and a sense of urgency in task completion.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand highly technical products.
  • Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, CRM software, and ideally website content management systems.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.
Desirable Abilities:
  • Degree in Marketing Communications or a related subject.
  • Effective team worker, capable of working internally, externally, and across cultures.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands.
