They are looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join their team based in West Berkshire on a permanent basis.   This exciting role involves extensive international travel, providing the opportunity to work on challenging projects worldwide, commissioning cutting-edge mechanical systems and process equipment.     The Commissioning Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Willingness to travel globally for extended periods and adapt to diverse working environments
  • Proven experience in mechanical commissioning or installation
  • Experienced working in process plants and similar factory settings 
  • Strong technical background in Mechanical Engineering (Degree, HND, or equivalent qualifications preferred)
  • Hands-on expertise with mechanical systems, including assembly, troubleshooting, and optimization
  • Knowledge of Chemical or Process Engineering would be beneficial
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
  • Strong communication skills for working with international teams and clients
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety practices related to commissioning and mechanical systems
The Commissioning Engineer role will involve:
  • Traveling to sites worldwide to commission mechanical systems and equipment
  • Conducting testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborating with clients and local teams to ensure successful project completion
  • Providing hands-on support during installation and assembly phases
  • Preparing detailed reports and documentation for commissioning activities
  • Delivering training and guidance to on-site staff and operators
  • Identifying and addressing technical challenges in a proactive manner
  • Representing the company professionally in diverse global settings
