Our client are seeking an Engineer Coordinator to join their workshop team on the outskirts of Reading. Working closely with the department manager, you will support customers with queries regarding services, repairs or warranty work. This role would be ideal for a hands-on engineer looking to down tools and move into an office environment. You will need exceptional customer service skills and, ideally, experience within the construction or agricultural industries.

The role:

  • Answering incoming customer calls and discussing customer needs
  • Raising jobs and ensuring records and details are accurate
  • Scheduling maintenance and repair works
  • Keeping customers informed of progress on jobs
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction

You will need:

  • Hands-on experience as an engineer out in the field
  • Previous experience in a service advisor role within a mechanical/engineering industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to learn products and terminology quickly
  • Knowledge or experience of construction/agricultural/groundwork machinery would be beneficial
  • Competent using a variety of IT systems and learning new systems
  • Access to your own vehicle is essential due to location of the office
