About the Job -

This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the fastest growing, global leaders within the fusion sector, who are looking to double their UK presence within the next 12 months.

In this role, you will primarily focus on supporting the design of mechanical components (including CAD modelling), providing thermal hydraulics and thermo-mechanical analyses according to existing codes and standards, related to the breeding blanket, including PFCs (plasma facing components).

About you -

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in a related science/engineering discipline, with a focus on mechanical engineering or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in fusion engineering or a related technical field, preferably with exposure to fusion energy technology.
  • Demonstration of strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with flexibility for domestic and international travel to support project requirements.
  • Familiarity with mechanical design, CAD modelling, thermo-mechanical and thermo hydraulics simulations.
