This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading building services provider on one of their high-profile commercial contracts in Reading. The company is a well established maintenance provider who are known to progress their engineers career with all the opportunities of training and development. Based on a modern commercial building the mechanically qualified engineer will be working Monday to Friday on a 8 -5 basis. You will be part of a larger maintenance team undertaking the planned and reactive maintenance, remedial works and emergency response on site.Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks on various plant equipment, including but not limited to:
- HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems
- Boilers and heating systems
- Chillers and refrigeration units
- Fire alarm and life safety systems
- Plumbing and drainage systems
- Fire Alarm Tests
- Water treatment - dipslides, pH & temperature testing, chlorination, chemical dosing
- Water pressurization units
- Chlorifiers - annual inspection, descaling
- Steam Plant
- Condensers, Condenser Returns
- Cooling towers
- Softeners
- Humidifiers
- Hydraulics
Requirements:
- Mechanically qualified to City & Guilds Level 2 or NVQ (or equivalent)
- Apprentice trained - desirable
- Building Services Maintenance experience
- Very Client facing
- Willing to do a 1/5 call out
Package:
- £40,000 - £43,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday 8 -5
- 25 days holiday
