About the Role:We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a static site in Reading. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems
- Diagnose and repair faults across a range of mechanical equipment
- Respond to emergency breakdowns, providing swift resolutions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Work closely with other engineers and site staff to maintain seamless operation
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance (ideally within a similar environment)
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Good knowledge of health and safety regulations
