About the Role:We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a static site in Reading. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults across a range of mechanical equipment
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns, providing swift resolutions
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Work closely with other engineers and site staff to maintain seamless operation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance (ideally within a similar environment)
  • Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations
