Westlakes Recruit are currently looking for several project engineers, on a contract basis, for work in the Reading area.
The candidate will:
- Lead and manage emergent engineering projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation, tailored to the specific requirements of emergent projects.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and production, to ensure timely project execution.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
- Identify and analyse technical issues that require immediate attention, developing innovative solutions to address them.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design, test, and implement solutions that meet project requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, ensuring that solutions are feasible and effective.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot emergent engineering problems, making adjustments as necessary to achieve project goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in emergent engineering projects.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and outcomes to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports, including technical documentation, cost analysis, and timelines.
- Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of project developments and any potential risks or delays.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilisation.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to secure necessary materials and components.
The candidate will ideally have:
- HNC/HND/Degree Qualification (or Equivalent)
- Experience as a Project Construction Engineer within a infrastructure project-based environment.
- Experience working within large scale projects, ideally in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.
