Role- Project Engineer Salary- £34,000- £46,000 per annum (Dependent on experience, please advise what you’re looking for)Type- PermanentLocation- BerkshireMy engineering client are looking to take on a Project Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Berkshire area.The Mechanical Project Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Be Degree/ HND/ HNC/ NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2 years or more of industry experience would be desirable working in a similar Design or Project role in a mechanical engineering environment
  • Experience of working on projects from concept to completion
  • Very good attention to detail
  • Knowledge of CAD software – ideally Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks, and AutoCAD
  • Any previous experience of working with industrial machinery would be beneficial
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes (MS Excel/ MS Project) would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
  • Flexible to travel as needed as part of the role
The Mechanical Project Engineer role will involve:
  • Coordinating technical projects and ensuring they remain within budget and are delivered on time
  • Preparing engineering proposals for customer requirements
  • Being involved in project management, equipment design and CAD drafting – using Inventor
  • Planning and scheduling engineering work
  • Ensuring products perform correctly so carrying out product testing if needed
  • Managing documentation submissions and producing the required product manuals
  • Preparing project status reports
  • Ensuring company standards are always adhered to
  • Liaising between different departments and working with other offices / teams when required
