A&G Resourcing Ltd are recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer for our well known and established Client based in Reading. This is a full time, permanent role.

The Senior Engineer will take responsibility for the Engineering Department, supporting the Head of Engineering (HOE) to ensure the effectiveness of plant machinery, maintenance, and utilities. The role involves both preventative and reactive maintenance and supervisory duties, ensuring the smooth operation of the production facility.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Operations: Oversee the Engineering Department's operations, ensuring effectiveness in machinery, maintenance, and utilities. Plan and implement preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

Health & Safety: Manage health and safety across the department, maintain compliance with regulations, and lead audits and meetings in collaboration with the HOE and H&S Manager.

Inventory Management: Supervise the storage, ordering, and inventory of spare parts, reporting discrepancies as necessary.

Team Leadership: Supervise and train the engineering team, ensuring adherence to PPM schedules and company policies.

Flexibility & Support: Cover shifts as needed, participate in the call-out rota, and liaise with production teams to address maintenance needs with minimal disruption.

General Duties: Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas, attend training, and uphold confidentiality and company standards

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

  • Mechanical and Electrical qualifications are mandatory.
  • Applicants must reside within a 30-mile radius of the site. No relocations will be considered.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as required and adapt to changing business needs.
