My client, a mechanical engineering firm with over 50 years of experience, is seeking a renewables engineer to work in the Reading area.
The role involves servicing civic buildings, schools, and primarily domestic properties with ASHP systems, focusing on planned and reactive small works.
Candidates must possess an FGAS CAT 1 Engineer or Domestic Gas Qualified Engineer certification, along with an unvented hot water qualification and a formal renewables or heat pump qualification.
The salary package ranges from £38,000 to £45,000 for a 40-hour work week, with additional benefits including paid travel time, on-call pay, and a company pension scheme.
Applicants are expected to have relevant experience in the field, with a probation period of six months before full employment.

My Client are a mechanical engineering who have been in operation for over 50 years providing mechanical engineering solutions to their diverse portfolio of clients.

The role requires a a renewables engineer to carry out the following works around the Reading area only covering schools, civic and community buildings within the area.

Duties and requirements :

Working in civic buildings, schools, community buildings but primarily domestic properties served by ASHP systems
Planned, reactive and quoted works (Small works mainly)
FGAS CAT 1 Engineer OR Domestic Gas Qualified Engineer with FGAS Cert with Unvented Hot Water Qualification a must have
A formal renewables or heat pump qualification essential

SALARY PACKAGE :

38/45K Basic Salary

40 hours per week Monday to Friday

Travel time paid after 30 mins each way

1 week in 7 on call (Paid 200 retainer for the week plus x1.5 door to door)

SSP

Holiday (20 + 8 days)

Van, fuel card, uniform, tablet, phone and training provided

Engineer provides own hand tools

Private use of van allowed

Company Pension Scheme in place

6 month probation

Pay weekly or monthly to suit
