- Perform maintenance and repairs on CNC lathes, milling machines, grinding equipment, and other plant machinery.
- Liaise with OEM suppliers and specialist contractors to diagnose critical machine faults, manage spare parts, and coordinate service requirements.
- Apply knowledge of chillers, LEVs, conveyors, and other process-related equipment.
- Manage contractor work by reviewing RAMS, issuing permits, and ensuring safety standards on-site.
- Identify and implement plant and process improvements for efficiency.
- Maintain and complete documentation on paper and electronic systems, ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
- Follow safety policies and procedures at all times. Conduct investigations of safety events when necessary.
- Review and introduce maintenance work instructions, risk assessments, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Support and participate in workshops related to safety initiatives, continuous improvement, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Multi-skilled, with experience in the automotive industry (or similar).
- Mechatronics qualification is a plus.
- HNC/ONC/C&G/apprenticeship in an engineering-related field.
- IOSH or another relevant safety qualification.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a manufacturing environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Solid understanding of machinery safety systems (e.g., emergency stop circuits, guard interlocks).
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and circuit diagrams.
- Willing to support the facilities department and work overtime when required.
