Role: Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician Salary: £34,000 to £38,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 5am till 2pm Location: Commutable from Bracknell, Reading, Maidenhead, Basingstoke, Newbury and surrounding areas CompanyWe are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work within a large industrial company at one of their automated factories. You will benefit from a friendly, small and loyal team of Engineers where you’ll be given plenty of opportunity to turn your hands to a lot of different machinery and where every day is different. Loads of opportunity and scope for developing your skills.Training will be provided to those who may be either electrical or mechanical and not been given the chance or opportunity to multi skill. It would suit someone who enjoys a variety of work, getting their hands dirty and embracing the every day challenges of keeping machinery running and maintained. ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Engineers support the production machinery including reactive, trouble-shooting and repair tasks, planned preventative maintenance, new installations and refurbishments.Engineers must be willing to learn and apply themselves in a multi skilled environment. Training will be provided to those who are either Mechanical OR Electrical and not quite yet Multi Skilled or not been given the chance.It will be a place you can expect to work on heavy plant machinery where you can get your hands dirty and be supported by a great small team. Being a small team of Maintenance Engineers, you will have opportunities to voice your thoughts and opinions in the continuous improvement of the site and its machinery.Requirements

  • Background and experience in maintenance or service work or similar
  • Worked in a similar role; Maintenance Engineer OR Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer OR Service Engineer OR Maintenance Technician
  • Qualifications in Engineering
  • Willingness to learn and develop their skills
  • Have ANY of the following experience; conveyors, packaging, bearings, belts, gearboxes, rollers, 3 phase, motors, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, PLC’s, pneumatics, hydraulics etc. - any experience of these will be considered
  • Friendly and adaptable working attitude
  • Proactive work attitude and keen to get your hands dirty
