Location: Field based role covering the South East of England and Midlands, candidates can be based in either location
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to 60,000 per year dependant on experience



Job Overview


Our client, a leading company in the HVAC industry, is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive business growth by providing expert air conditioning solutions. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge and sales expertise to assess client needs, propose tailored solutions, and ensure seamless project execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC or related engineering fields, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage relationships with both clients and internal teams.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of our client's air conditioning and climate control solutions, staying updated on industry trends.
  • Assess client needs and provide technical guidance to develop tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and demonstrations, highlighting product benefits.
  • Create customized proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and budget.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (project management, applications engineering, and technical support) to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain and grow long-term client relationships, offering ongoing technical support.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis, identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Accurately forecast sales and track customer activity using CRM tools.


Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge of HVAC, air conditioning systems, or related engineering fields.
  • Proven sales experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to translate technical information into clear, persuasive messaging.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales reporting tools.
  • Degree or relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence (required).
