Job Title: 2 x Laboratory AssistantsLocation: 1 X Reading, UK & 1 X Wokingham UKRate: £15.86ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35)Employment Type: Contract (6 Months)Hours: Standard 36 Hours Per Week

Our company performs a wide range of analytical analyses for a variety of pharmaceutical, healthcare and food and supports our client's research and innovation.The role of Laboratory Assistant ensures that the laboratories to which they are assigned operate efficiently and effectively, enabling the laboratory analysts to have everything they need to deliver work to the clients safely, to a high level of quality and on time.
The Laboratory Assistant maintains the availability of clean glassware and consumable items, manages waste streams, and ensures general laboratory cleanliness while operating in a safe and compliant manner.
Experience Required:• Educated to A-level / HNC level (or equivalent) and / or have appropriate industry experience to be able to fulfil role requirements.• Good understanding of basic lab equipment. • Scientific interest or any previous lab work considered.
Skills Required• Accountable, honest, hardworking and able to work efficiently in a team. • Flexible and adaptable to meet customer/business requirements in an efficient manner whilst under time pressure. • Meticulous attention to detail and an ability to follow written instructions. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and quick to learn. • Well organized and capable of working on multiple activities concurrently. • Computer literate in standard MS office applications.
