  • Carbon60 is seeking a Meteorologist with experience in the Offshore Energy Industry for a hybrid role based in Reading.
  • The position is set to start in October/November 2024 and is initially for a duration of 3 months, with a possibility of extension.

  • The daily rate for this role is to be confirmed and is classified as Inside IR35 via Umbrella, with BPSS clearance required.

Overview:

  • Reviewing and analysing weather information, providing information as required to different parts of the Group.
  • Providing insight into the short-term weather patterns and risks to the forecast.
  • Supporting our Forecasting & Trading teams, working closely with Senior Meteorologists to develop your experience, building on your responsibilities as your experience and business understanding grows.



Requirements:

  • A MSc degree in Meteorology, or another similar degree subject, coupled with a genuine interest and passion for understanding and interpreting weather systems.
  • Ability to create and articulate complex information, and participate in daily discussions with broader EM colleagues.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, to develop and build strong business relationships.
  • Motivated, self-starter with the capacity to work independently, and as part of a remote team.
