Job Advert: Locum Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – CMHT Adults

We are currently recruiting a dedicated Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join an Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) supporting individuals aged 18 to 65. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate mental health professional to provide care coordination and support to those in need.

Role Overview:
  • Position: Band 6 CPN – Adult CMHT
  • Location: Reading area
  • Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm)
  • Rate: £26.50 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Duration: Start ASAP, ongoing for a minimum of 3 months
  • Remote Working: Part remote working available – flexible team
  • Car Driver: Essential
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of up to 30 individuals with varying mental health needs.
  • Provide care coordination under the Care Programme Approach (CPA), including assessments, care planning, and reviews.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to support recovery and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Conduct community visits as required, ensuring a person-centred approach.
Essential Requirements:
  • Current NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse (CPN).
  • Experience in community mental health services.
  • Familiarity with the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car for community visits.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
