Compliance Manager
Reed Scientific is partnering with a leading chemical manufacturing company committed to safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship. We are seeking a HSE Manager to join our team and contribute to our growth and success.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, research laboratories and the office. This a very rewarding and varied role and comes with excellent benefits and the opportunity to take the helm at a growing company leading them into a new era of growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement company policies and regulations
- Oversee compliance-related business operations
- Design and monitor control systems for legal and policy violations
- Assess and improve control systems
- Review procedures and reports to identify risks
- Coordinate with department managers on compliance policies
- Perform periodic audits
- Advise management on compliance through detailed reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., chemistry, engineering, environmental science)
- Proven experience as a Compliance Manager or similar role in the chemical manufacturing industry
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and certifications
- Strong understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Experience with ISO 9001/14001 accreditation is highly desirable
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and able to commute to the site daily
