A Special Mental Health School in Reading are looking for a resilient and bubbly graduate to join their team as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, starting as soon as next week. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to gain valuable experience in mental health, psychology, speech and language, behaviour therapy or social work.

As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will support children aged 5 to 16 who face various social, emotional, mental health and behavioural challenges. Many of these students find it difficult to manage their emotions and form healthy relationships with others. In this role, you will serve as a positive role model for all pupils, supporting the development of social skills, emotional regulation and encouraging healthy interactions with peers. You will help achieve this with a patient and empathetic approach.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate looking to kick start their career in the mental health or psychology field. You will gain valuable, hands-on experience working with children who face significant challenges and adversities, allowing you to apply your psychological knowledge in real-world scenarios.
