We seek a driven Process Engineer to spearhead innovative process design projects at our renowned engineering centre, particularly in wastewater treatment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and collaborate with industry leaders. You'll receive mentorship to help you thrive and become an indispensable part of our engineering and technical teams. Your expertise will be pivotal in developing treatment processes aligning with business objectives and customer expectations.

What you’ll be doing as a Process Engineer

  • Developing and designing treatment processes (primarily wastewater with the option for water processes) that meet regulatory and internal standards of practice.
  • Collaborating with other engineering and technical departments as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced solutions.
  • Providing input and continuously improving internal design standards.
  • Providing technical sign-off and assurance during project delivery and handover.
  • Providing technical assistance to operational teams.
  • Support establishing a cohesive, sustainable engineering structure for graduates and industry experts.

Hybrid – Reading Clearwater Court, you will be required to be in the office once a week and to attend sites as the business requires you to.

36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

What you should bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree or other appropriate technical qualification in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • An active approach to driving diversity within engineering in Thames Water.
