Buyers Assistant | Reading | Clothing, Home, Leisure | £28,000 - £32,000 You'll work closely to your Buyer in ensuring that the day to day of your department is running smoothly across sample management, supplier communications and ultimately new product development.THE DAY TO DAY AS THE BUYERS ASSISTANT:
- Manage the accuracy and detail of the critical path
- Complete and take ownership of comp shops & new in reports
- Contribute and support with Sign Off meetings; ensuring sample management is done, comp shops, costings, fabrics, trims and colours are all organised ready for these meetings
- Understand and accurately manage PO's and sizing
- Work with studio for imagery, ensuring images are on site and live when stock is delivered
- Run and work with merchandising and buyer on deliveries
- Approvals for lab dips, fabrics, trims to be done
- Keeping file of all approvals and samples for reference
- Chasing hand overs, fit comments and general approvals or actions required with suppliers & factories
- Check the accuracy and detail of care and wash labels
- Action any delays, cancellations or phasing with the team and suppliers/factories
