Purpose:
  • Lead and manage the warehouse team to ensure efficient and safe operations for receiving, storing, handling, and dispatching products.
  • Emphasise Safety, Delivery, Quality, Cost, and Lean (SDQCL) principles in all processes.
  • Ensure accurate inventory control and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Cross-train team members to enhance flexibility and minimise operational disruptions from absences.
  • Uphold company values in all aspects of the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the system for receiving, storing, and issuing inventory to production, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ensure materials are correctly identified and fully traceable, utilising MRP systems and processes.
  • Provide prompt kitting services for production and subcontracting tasks.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations and supervise staff, maintaining necessary records.
  • Perform additional tasks or projects as directed by the Materials Manager.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MRP systems, inventory management, and traceability.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office.
  • At least 3 years of experience supervising or managing warehouse or stores teams.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual handling of products as part of daily tasks.

Working Conditions:

  • Open-plan warehouse adjacent to production areas with variable temperatures; PPE will be provided as necessary.
