Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage cost estimates and budgets for a variety of projects.
  • Undertake value engineering and cost control to ensure projects remain on budget.
  • Liaise with senior clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Program and schedule projects to coordinate timelines and resources.
  • Manage risk and issue resolution in a timely manner to avoid cost overruns.
  • Provide regular cost reports and analysis to the senior management team.
  • Ensure projects comply with all legal, regulatory, and health & safety requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or rail industry
  • Strong understanding of construction costs, contracts, and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using Quantity Surveying software and MS Office Suite.
