Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cost and budget planning through the RIBA lifecycle in preparation for major construction procurement.
  • Compile NEC forms of contract and other commercial documents for procurement.
  • Develop contract cost models and performance management strategies, ensuring compliance with project briefs, timelines, budget estimates, and all relevant regulations.
  • Own the commercial evaluation and negotiation of tenders, validating and benchmarking proposals to enhance value while maintaining required standards.
  • Capture, record, and utilize cost data for future procurements, reporting into the Estimating Benchmarking database.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and mitigate risks during the procurement phase for sound contract awards.
  • Uphold high standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in complex major construction projects.
  • Familiarity with public contract regulations.
  • Background in Defence, Nuclear, Utilities, or related infrastructure environments.
  • Chartered or working towards MRICS or similar qualification.
  • Proven ability in cost and budget planning through the RIBA lifecycle.
  • Capability to design contractor performance management and incentivisation approaches.
  • Experience in commercial evaluation and negotiation of tenders to achieve value for money.
  • Proficient in identifying commercial opportunities and managing risks during procurement
