Senior Quantity Surveyor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Basingstoke. The business is one of the most well known contractors in the UK, undertaking projects across the breadth of the country from regional offices. Their project portfolio is diverse and includes projects across the defence, blue-light and commercial / residential sectors valuing up to 20mil.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to final account. The initial projects you will be required to oversee will be in the defence sector and so you will be required to be put through security clearance. You will be reporting directly to the Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

Work through the pre-construction process and be involved in work-winning
Procure all sub-contract packages and manage through the project life-cycle.
Deal with variations / valuations upstream
Be involved in mentoring junior members of staff

Key Requirements of this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

Have a proven track record of managing projects valuing up to 20mil.
Be proficient in administering JCT and NEC forms of contract
Be able to receive security clearance
Have the full right to work in the UK
