Here are Reed Education Reading, we are expanding our geographical remit and so we are looking for a new addition to this already very successful team!
Ideally we are looking for an experienced Education Recruitment Consultant, who is looking to step up into their first Senior Recruitment Consultant role. This person will have their own 1:1 Resourcer, and will be inheriting a talent pool of over 30 certified candidates ready to sell, and also have a client base of over 200 schools to go after, many of which use Reed’s services already.
The start date will be ASAP, with the new Resourcer set to start on the 24th February. The role is permanent subject to passing a 9 month probation, and the starting salary for a Senior Consultant would be £31k, but we able to offer up to 40k for the right person and experience. Due to the busy amount of business we have in this area already, this role requires someone who has previous experience in recruitment – preferably in Education but other fast paced sectors such as Health and Care, Construction etc will be considered.
You will sit amongst our busy Reading Education team, in a vibrant and positive office based in Reading City Centre. Yours hours of work would be agreed between 7-1530, 8-1630 and 930-180. Hybrid working is available for up to 2 days per week, if you are performing against your financial and activity KPI’s to offer more work / life balance.Â
Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintain and develop business from existing clients and engage with new ones.
- Perform phone-based sales calls to grow your desk through active business development.
- Attend client meetings to convert non-users to active clients.
- Interview and expand your pool of candidates to meet the needs of the clients.
- Meet KPI targets and adhere to audit and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in recruitment, resourcing, or sales is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.
- Proactive and driven, with a commitment to achieving targets.
- Ethical approach to recruitment with a focus on quality and compliance.
