An opportunity to join this incredible organisation. Part time 21-25 hours per week, based in offices in central Reading. This is a respected organisation and they have a small and friendly HR team that you will work within. 

About the Job

This part-time HR role (21-25 hours per week, based in the office) supporting the HR management team.

Duties will include:

  • Managing the HR inbox
  • Managing the day to day recruitment activities (sifting CV’s, interviews, preparing hiring paperwork – contracts etc)
  • Onboarding – preparing welcome bags for new starters and sharing organisation information via our new starter slide deck presentation
  • Preparing monthly payroll changes (capturing internal changes with documentation and letters (new joiners, leavers, probationary period, promotions)
  • Supporting Head of HR with ER issues advice and guidance (as and when they arise) – maternity, probationary, grievance etc
  • Leading on all EAP activities including queries, How to use sessions, promotion of services via poster and email campaigns
  • Producing quarterly reports (absence & sickness, exit interview data - reporting on themes and trends and making recommendations)
  • Supporting Head of HR with L&D needs using data available from a recent skills audit / gap analysis
  • Supporting Head of HR with creating career maps for employees - NEW (2025)
  • Creating L&D support documentation – eg posters for Workshops, delegate packs for internal training
  • Arranging on site pension days / drop in sessions with broker
  • Drafting monthly HR internal staff newsletter submission
  • Assisting with note taking at internal employee forums
  • Sending out monthly work anniversary emails
About the Successful ApplicantTo be considered for ther ole you will need to have experience within HR and be knowledge of taking references, recruitment process and any experience of DBS checks would be really good.  What You Will Receive in Return

An role suited to someone who is available at short notice or available immediately and seeking part time working hours. To reiterate this is 21-25 hours per week and these hours will be working in the office in central Reading so very good in terms of transport links to the location.
