Resourcing Business Partner – Engineering and Operations

Due to expansion within the team, we are looking for a specialist recruiter in our Engineering and Operations teams to join our internal recruitment experts. As a Resourcing Business Partner in the UK's largest Water company, you’ll be embedded into the company’s purpose and culture and build relationships across the organisation. We’re looking for individuals who have a passion for recruitment, thrive in finding the right people for the right roles, identifying untapped talent and delivering results in an environment of continuous improvement.
Requirement for all roles on this contract include working onsite a minimum of 2 or more days a week to collaborate with team and stakeholders across sites and attending careers fairs and talent events when required.
Here are the key responsibilities:
- Build and manage the relationships with key business stakeholders, the HR Partnering team and candidates with a focus on diverse and inclusive hiring, removing barriers for under represented groups, untapped talent
- Ensure we have talent pipelines to meet the future resource requirements of the business
- Attend weekly/monthly meetings to ensure you are kept informed with the recruitment requirements in your area
- Work in collaboration with the Resourcing Business Partners in the team, sharing best practice and ensuring that a consistent approach is adopted across the business
- Ensure that the end-to-end recruitment process always creates a positive experience to our candidates
- Strategic talent attraction and direct sourcing, recruiting candidates from a variety of sources, including profiling and head hunting, sourcing via LinkedIn and various job boards
- Conduct in-depth assessments for potential candidates through comprehensive interviewing and work history review
- Consult with Hiring Managers to obtain a full understanding of each vacancy and their requirements, providing insight on routes to market and salary benchmarking and championing inclusive and diverse recruitment practices
- Agree a recruitment strategy with each Hiring Manager to meet set SLA's and KPI's
- Carry out recruitment for permanent, temporary and contractor roles within your business area
What we’re looking for
To be successful, you’ll need to have demonstrable experience in recruitment. We have an opportunity in either our Engineering or Operations teams. For our Engineering role we’re looking for someone with a solid background in hiring for all levels and skill sets of Engineers from entry level to senior roles. For Operations, you will be working on roles across water and waste treatment sites, we can be flexible on your background, but you’ll need to have some recruitment experience.
We work in a fast-paced environment and no two days are the same, you’ll need to be able to prioritise your workload, work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines. Some recruitment experience, whether this is from a recruitment agency or preferably in-house, experience of direct sourcing at different levels and securing placements in short time scales is essential.
You’ll need to be fully PC literate on Microsoft Office and able to pick up new systems with ease including our applicant tracking system (ATS). We also work in a structured, process driven environment, so you must enjoy working to a process, following the correct recruitment methodology and frameworks at all times.

In return for your hard work, you will receive a competitive salary, 24 days holiday increasing to 29 with length of service and a good contributory pension scheme. The role is based in our clients fantastic central Reading based offices with some flexibility around working from home due to mirroring the client’s hybrid working policy.
