Van Technician needed
£38 000 per annum + overtime + bonus

Our client, franchised company of fleet vehicles for hire, is seeking for a Van Technician to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be working on Vans and will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs in accordance with the manufacturer’s procedures.
Role: Van Technician
Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5:30 pm; every other Saturday morning
Locations: Reading
Responsibilities of Van Technician:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on Vans, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Perform equipment repair, including the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Assemble and disassemble various vehicle components for repairs and inspections.
- Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance on Vans as required.
- Weld components when necessary to ensure structural integrity.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
Requirements for Van Technician:
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in Vans maintenance and repair.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to fabricate parts as needed for repairs or modifications
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients and understand their needs.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure all work meets safety standards and regulations
- C&G, NVQ 3 or equivalent
- Van Technician : 3 years
- Time-served Technicians also considered
