Technical Compliance Manager | Facilities Management Industry | Commercial Environment | 6 Month Fixed Term Contract | 45-50K pro rata salarydependant on experience.

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Compliance Manager / Technical Assurance Manager within the Commercial, Hard ServicesFacilities Management (FM) / Building Services industry. You will be working as part of a team on a large commercial contract based from Reading, with some occasional travel across Berkshire / Oxfordshire / Buckinghamshire to other sites within the customers commercial property portfolio.

This role is initially a 6 month fixed term contract (FTC), although does have the potential to be a permanent role or further contract following this. For the initial 6 months, you will be paid PAYE with all permanent employee benefits directly by the employer.

Package:

  • Timeline: Initial 6 month fixed term contract. Potential for on-going contract / permanent role following.
  • Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 dependant on candidate experience.
  • Anticipated start date: ASAP - Nov/Dec 2024.

  • Payment Type: PAYE, Monthly pay schedule. Paid directly by the employer opposed to an agency / payroll company.
  • Package, pro rata: 25 days + bank holidays annual holiday allowance, company pension, flexi benefits scheme (buy additional annual leave, discount schemes etc), company sick pay scheme etc.
  • Location: Reading, Berkshire - with some occasional travel across Berkshire / Oxfordshire / Buckinghamshire.

Duties:

As the Technical Compliance Manager, your duties may include:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all hard FM services, including electrical, mechanical, and building fabric maintenance, comply with relevant health, safety, and statutory regulations, such as fire safety, electrical standards, and environmental laws.
  • Auditing and Inspections: Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and rectify compliance gaps; ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of maintenance activities and compliance measures.
  • Policy and Procedure Management: Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance schedules to uphold industry standards and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide training and support to technical teams and contractors, ensuring awareness and understanding of compliance requirements, best practices, and safety protocols.
  • Incident Management and Reporting: Oversee the investigation of compliance-related incidents, manage corrective actions, and report findings to senior management, regulatory bodies, or clients, as necessary.

Requirements / Candidate Profile.

In our search for a Technical Compliance Manager within the FM / Commercial Building services industry, we are looking for the following Candidate Profile / Background / Experience:

  • Experience within within compliance within the Hard Services Facilities Management / Building Services Maintenance industry.
  • Qualifications: Technical Qualification preferred by not essential dependant on experience.
  • Experience in compliance auditing, contract mobilisation and demobilisation advantageous.
  • A good working knowledge of compliance ACOPs and statutory legislation required.
  • A strong understanding or Electrical / Mechanical (M&E) Maintenance services and industry regulations.
