About the Role The Assistant Bar & Kitchen Manager will support the Bar Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring outstanding guest experiences, and upholding high standards of service and quality. This role requires a strong background in both bar operations and kitchen management to drive seamless collaboration across the team.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Service:
- Assist in the daily running of the bar, maintaining efficiency and smooth workflows.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock levels for both bar and kitchen supplies.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the bar and kitchen before and after service.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Train and mentor bar and kitchen staff, ensuring service excellence.
- Support with staff scheduling, labour cost management, and performance evaluations.
- Work with the Bar Manager and kitchen team to develop and enhance menus.
- Oversee food and drink presentation, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Enforce hygiene, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and implement best practices in food and beverage handling.
- Assist in budget management, tracking sales, and reducing waste.
- Minimum 2 years experience in both bar and food environments.
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, food safety, and handling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management and POS systems.
